Hey everybody, I'm looking for recommendations for hog hunting in Florida. I went last year and had a blast but the outfit I went through is no longer in business. Mid February I along with my family are headed to Cape Coral Fl for the week and I would like to find a place to hunt hogs for a day or two. I don't want to feel like I'm getting put in a fenced in feed lot like a few horror stories I have heard. Anybody have any recommendations? Thanks everyone!

There was a thread on here a year or so ago by a member who went hog hunting down there. As I remember he had a pretty good time and the costs were reasonable. If you can find it in a search it might lead you to something you'd like.

We hunted hogs growing up in Florida.

!. Turn scent dogs loose. (curs mainly)
    2. Listen for em to bay up while walkin through Fla. terrain.
    3. Turn catch dogs loose. (pit mixes / jaw str)
    4. Run like h*ll to follow em to the action.
    5. See the fight twixt dogs and hogs, run in, grab opposite front leg from ya, go shoulder to shoulder with em, take em off their feet and QUICKLY tie all 4 feet together.
    6. send someone to go get the truck to load em up.
    7. Feed em up on corn to remove game taste.
    8. Eat a lot of bacon!

I might be able to get my dad to find ya someone to take ya, if that sounds like your kind of fun. He lives in St. Cloud but knows folks all over. 30+ years Osceola County Sheriffs Dept Veteran.

I went back in March to Black Tine Outfitters and had a great time. Reasonable pricing too. You get to pick how you want to hunt, out of a stand or spot and stalk. I ended up seeing roughly 12 hogs and shot a 150 pound boar hog. Was good eatin' too. Quatering was included in price but if you wanted to send it to a processor they had some they recommended.

I went in March this year to Outwest Farms in Okeechobee, FL
Florida Alligator Hunt, Florida Hog hunt, Osceola Turkey Hunt

This is a great Christian Family Owned Company.

They have several different kind of hunts including catch and stick them with a knife if your into that.

We shot Three Hogs and my buddy got a 10 ft gator.

We shot ours from a swamp buggy which was worth the price just to ride on. The Hogs at that time were $200 each and the Gator was $2,000.

They have two day hunts for $500 that includes two hogs and lodging.

They also did the taxidermy work on my buddys gator.

If I was going to hunt in Florida it would be with them.
