Went hunting last night in Marion County (urban deer zone), and saw a buck right off the bat. Nice 8ptr came in at about 15 yds, and wouldn't leave. He was nice but not nice enough to drag through 300yds of standing corn. Over the course of 20min he came back 4 times staring me down each time like what the heck? Not that I stand out like a sore thumb while hunting but when he got to 8 yds I moved my hand so he wouldn't walk on me. I kept waiting but his dad never walked out. Hope last night was a sign this is going to be a good season.:yesway:

Haha good story man. I have respect for the hunters that don't go by the theory "if its brown its down". Separates the men from the boys. (unless of course you need the meat) sometimes you have to make a hard call to let one go or not.
