Made some changes to my log trailer and put some serious strain on it. The little 2500 pound winch was not happy with these sections of logs. Side note, anyone have any idea what kind of wood this is?

My ms500i is an absolute beast! Running a 32 inch bar doesn't slow it down. With a 20 inch bar, it is fast! I also bought an Echo 2511t. That little 25cc machine is amazing! It was decent with the stock muffler, but a straight pipe really woke it up. With the upgraded 14 inch bar, it easily chews through wood.

I give absolutely 0 stars for the drolet bistro wood stove. Sending smoke back into the house again just like before……. So I take the cap off to vacuum again but no plug? Atleast not in the same spot…… so I let the stove cool and have been trying to find the blockage but I got nothing. Just tried a fire and it smothered itself in smoke… now I’m wondering if the fresh air inlet is clogged….. when it is working it is a dream when it isnt it is an absolute nightmare. I have the flu so it makes everything much harder and more obnoxious.

Definitely not getting air. Been messing with it all day. Door open raging inferno smoke going outside now door closed smoke leaving still but fire goes out

Agreed it sounds like it's not getting air. Have you been able to check the fresh air inlet? Since it burns with the door open and doesn't when it's closed I'd bet that's where your problem is.

A while back I talked about this type of tree.. not sure what it is. Always find it close to the edge of the woods and most are 10”-12” in diameter. This one about 20”. It has the same insect damage as ash borer as you can see. It burns longer and hotter than white ash and smells very different. A quite pleasant smell cutting it and when it burns. I'm pretty bad at tree naming just by the bark, but the peeling/lifting of the bark in long sections like that one is starting to do is something that sugar maples do.

BTW, the best upgrade for a stock saw is better dogs. I was using my daughter's ms391 the other day because it had a 25 inch bar and I didn't feel like swinging a 32 inch bar for 12-14 inch trees. It didn't want to cut very fast or very well, so I took it home and copied the aftermarket dogs I have on my ms500i. Now, it will tear through wood that's even bigger than the bar.

    This is what I'm using...
