Now comes the fun part to see what kind of load it likes. If anyone out there has got a good load to try please give me a little advice on it. My 358 is built out pf a savage model 111. So give me some ideals on some projectile I have heard to use a 225 grain sierra gameking bullet.

What are the specifics of the cartridge case you are using?

I had a 358 Hoosier done by AJ Brown, and it is based on the 358 Winchester case, with the shoulder pushed back about a 0.1" and about 0.2" cut off the overall case length. I've settled (more or less) on 45 gr Accurate 2230 and a 180 gr Hornady SSP.

    .358 ______ ???

Hornady 180gr SSP, 200gr FTX, and 200gr Interlock SP, 225gr Sierra Game King, Speer 180gr and 220gr SPFN, Barnes 200gr and 225gr TSX, and 180gr and 200gr Tipped TSX BT, Nosler 225gr Accubond -- and a NEW 200gr Accubond (!!! this is definitely on my list to try !!!), and a 225gr Partition.

It just depends what cartridge you are using and how fast you can go.

Toward the low end I would go with the SSP or FTX, and toward the high end you have your choice.
