Love my Rugers!! I have a Redhawk, Super Blackhawk, Super Blackhawk Hunter, Mark 1, Single Six, 77/22, and 4 10/22s in my safe. Hard to pick just one. If I did have to pick just one it would be my Single Six, first handgun I ever bought. I have fired more rounds than I can remember through it, and bagged quite a few squirrels with it, I will never get rid of it.

    Just one?

I guess if I can only pick one it would be the 10/22 magnum switch-barrel. The barrels are a Green Mountain fluted stainless WMR and blue fluted Clark .17 HMR.

The runners-up are 2 Mk IIs, SA revolvers in .17 HMR and .357, Charger in .17 HM2, 5 more 10/22s, 96/22M converted to .17 HMR, and a LCP. The little LCP has been getting a lot of attention lately with the addition of a grip sleeve and side mounted laser.

I have a P97, P95 and LC9. I would have to say my P97 is my favorite gun to take to the range, unfortunately it is also the most expensive to shoot at the range too.

I have a SS 4" GP100 that I love, I am actually having the cyclinder milled for use with moonclips.

I also have a MKII 22/45 that has a Pac-Lite upper on it as a suppressor host, great gun.

My favorite Ruger that I own is my old three screw Single Six! Best little .22 revolver around! Now the one I keep drooling over to buy is the 22/45! I want to get one that I can put a nice Red Dot on and have it ready for a suppressor! :bacondance::bacondance:

My favorite will always be my dad's MkI from 1955. There may be ones that are better, but the BATFUBAR will have to climb over a pile of their own people to pry that one from my cold, dead hand.

Pick just one !! ??? Tough choice, out of the 15 Single Action Rugers that I have, I would have to say it's my 1958 Model year Blackhawk, 3-Screw, 4-5/8" barrel, .357 Magnum.
It's the Revolver at the top of this pic.

David & Malern how do you like your SP101? Does it have much recoil? I held a couple of these today at the gun show and really liked them. I have a full size 357 already but was thinking about a SP101 to carry. Your insight would be very much appreciated.

If you are going to carry a revolver I think it would be a good choice. I don't think the recoil is too bad, recoil is very subjective though. Mine has a Hogue grip on it which fits my hand very well, and is much more comfortable than the original, which I am sure has something to do with it. Also, if the recoil of a .357 gets uncomfortable, you can practice with 38s or even 38+p.

What else do you shoot that I might be able to compare the recoil to?
