I can't help but carry in a gun free zone, I live about 100 yards from a school, though I am down the street and around the corner.:dunno:

I believe the law you are referencing is now just on school property. As opposed to the "within blah, blah number of yards from a school," it used to be, or we believed it used to be.

So do I. But as long as you don't enter school property while armed don't worry about it unless you walk by while open carrying. Then, you'll have some explaining to do if one of the little darlings or an hysterical teacher happens to see your cannon.

The one time you can enter school property armed is within a motor vehicle to drop off or pick up your little tax deduction. But, even then, your piece had best be concealed unless you want to create an unwanted disturbance. :)

Yes, but it is not illegal under the circumstances!

I carry a gun. I also drop off my daughter at school. Schools are gun free zones. Carrying a gun into a school gun free zone is legal IF you are there to transport a student. The gun must not leave the car.

I have never illegally carried into a gun free zone.

Yes, currently in Maryland on vacation. Carryed every day. With the murder rate here in Baltimore I would rather face charges for carrying than me or my family ending up dead. I guess if I get caught I'll say " Golly I'm from Indiana were its leagle. I thought it was every were." I figure you can be wrong at least once. Maybe not the best defence but I'm being low key with a over the sholder bag. I hope everyone in Indy is doing well with all the rain at home.

This my debate Ive had for a long time with friends and family.

Your actions choose the consequences in ANY situation.

    Do you

A.) Follow the rules. Die. Have some one applaud you at your funeral for "Well he followed the rules. Yay!" Resurrection is NOT guaranteed for following law.

B.) Ask for forgiveness and face the charges but still breathe, eat, sleep, talk, walk, love, etc?

    Hmmm.... I'll take answer B.

Right, carry in the mall, if you are "found out", all that can be done is tell or ask you to leave. If you refuse then you are guilty of tresspass, if they want to push it. Then they may call the police if they wish. Myself, I carry if i want and if told to leave I will. :)

I do not carry where it is forbidden by law.

Examples; I do not carry on school property or into the Post Office or into the playing area of Indiana casinos.

I do everything I can to see my License doesn't get "revoked", no matter how wrong I think that whole idea is..............
