eotech laser/IR battery cap

I am wanting to see if any body has used one of these before and if so what is your opinion. I just got my sbr put together and I was wanting to do an Eotech 512 as an optic. then I saw this and thought that would be awesome to go with my night vision.

thoughts? opinions?

I've seen these and am curious as well. I have a 512 on my AR pistol and this would work pretty well for that gun.

My main concern would be a possible zero shift every time you change the batteries. And on the older 500 series Eotech's like that, the batteries don't last nearly as long as the new ones (along with several other issues such as the mount and battery contacts). My other concern would be the controls don't look very ergonomic, and that may or may not be an issue depending on what role you're using it for. If you want to shoot critters at night, constant on might be fine. If you're using it in a defensive scenario, something with a momentary switch that is easily accessible (and preferably slaved to a light) would be advantageous.
