So i received my eotech 553 today and i love it but i ran into a problem. I already had a set of troy folding micro battle sights on my DDM4 and when i flipped them up to see how the co witness was they were too short. Can you not use the micro sights to co witness?

EOtech's are designed to co-witness with standard A2 height sights, so yours will be too short.

That said, there's a fan club for iron sights witnessing in the lower 3rd of the EOtech window....that's why The Dominator exists.

I like to have mine in the lower 1/3 of the optic but these sights didnt even go up high enough to see though the glass. I took the back ups off and put them on my other m4 and they worked perfect with my aimpoint comp m2. I guess ill have to get another set that is a little taller. These were the micro version so i guess i need the regular version. I would like to stick with troy, i really like them, very solid sight.
