I sold all my 7mm ammo a few years ago, but it was all headstamped from the 1930's I believe. I think I got it from Samco when they were still in business.
That was likely Spanish made if it was surplus. Do you remember if it was round nose or spitzer

The headstamp on the Spanish stuff would have been FNT for Fábrica Nacional de Toledo

Yeah i got a thousand rounds from samco also, mine was from the 1920's all was very clean and shot fine. I have been going thru my supplies and finding ammo and primers stashed in cans at bottom of ammo can stacks in the back, so trying to rotate a lot of it to the front to be used first, 30 06, 8mm,7mm,308, 223 and more

It was spitzer. I don't remember the headstamps.
Do you still have the rifle the ammunition was for? Mauser?

A while back I was drooling over a 7x57 hunting rifle on a Mauser action purpose built by FN, not made from a surplus action, but it was quite a bit more than I wanted to pay :(

When I stopped juggling a Mauser collection I kept a few just for fun (8). I still have an 1895 Chilean, which is nice but I would hesitate to shoot, and a 1908 Brazilian contract that I have shot quite a bit

Still very much a wood and metal guy when it comes to rifles

I have had 9 boxes of these for 40 years. I bought them from Kmart in Dolton IL. They were on sale for $1.57 each I got a brick of 10. You can see what the regular price was $2.27 each. This goes without saying I don't shoot 22 much I like the big stuff. stingers.jpeg

I have a couple boxes of SuperX .22 form Kmart. Sticker says 49 cents (50 rounds) Imagine that. A brick of .22s for 5 bucks...I think from the 70s
I bought a lot of bricks for $6 to $8 in the mid 70's. They were not SuperX, but the cheaper lines.

When I was in High school, a new Coupe de'Ville was $7800 list. Wouldn't it be great to have those prices with today's paychecks?
