We didn't have any issues with our clocks before Mitch Daniels!!!
    I had issues.

Customers never knew what time it was in Indiana.

Suppliers never knew what time it was in Indiana.

Computers had to have a special indiana time zone that often did not work.

The TV and media schedules were always changing.

Shows came on earlier in the freaking summer.

Sunset was way to early in the summer. Less time to shoot after work.

Just a quick list for me…

Well, I got 7 hours of sleep last night. Awake at 0500 instead of 0600. No big deal. Now I have to reset the clock in my car. Everything else handles itself.

It usually takes me a couple weeks to reset the cars clock. Because it usually takes multiple panic attacks early in the mornings for me to remember to do it. lol

Everyone knows where they live and work. Every phone knows where they are. Starting at the IDL the time changes 1 hour every 15 deg of longitude.

After a week, no one will give it a second thought. Or keep DST as is for exactly the same reasons. However it is fun to see folks get worked up over nonsense twice a year, like clockwork.

When I first moved to Indiana, I learned more about time zones and daylight saving time than I ever knew before for those reasons and than I think most folks who did change time knew at the time, as I was constantly explaining Indiana time to people.

I still have a pet peeve about people indicating EST for a time with no regard if daylight saving time is in effect or not.

We have a foreign car (Mazda) and a Murican car (Jeep). The Mazda has an Hour button and a Min button. You push them til the time is correct. The Jeep you have to turn the ignition on and off three times, then press EVERY button on the dash simultaneously while the left turn signal is blinking. That activates the Clock Control Unit. After that, it's simply a matter of remembering that turning the Tune knob left adjusts the hour forward 3 at a time, while turning the Volume knob right adjusts the minutes back 7 at a time. Super simple.

Well, I gained an hour overnight, and then I'll lose an entire day tomorrow. So the time change is pretty irrelevant to me this year.
