Ok sunset or still light out nautical twilight in northern Indiana ends at 10:41pm and civil twilight 9:57 pm on June 27 2021.

If I can still mow my lawn at 9:30 pm that’s buggered up.

That is what you get for living on the trailing edge of a time zone. I suggest you move to the leading edge of a time zone that suits you, DST in Illinois would be an hour later than that.

Telling someone to move to Illinois is kinda like saying Let's Go Brandon! I hate DST. Moving is not a good answer, how do we know they won't change the way they do time as well? I'm glad when it changes back in the fall.

He complained about sunset time, presumably where he lives, so I gave him an option if it bothers him that much.

Time is a man made construct, originally made to simplify travel, now part of the backbone of our world. It only makes sense that not everyone can be happy with the chosen system. Sorry does not work for you…

    Time was fine before DST.

My start time for work is 7am. Since I have to drive in and can not work from home that means leaving at 6 ish. Giving myself an hour to **** shower and shave means alarm rings at 5 am. If you want 8 hours sleep then it is still daylight out when the sandman should come.

Sure DST is for golfers who have more time to play 18 holes after work in the summer.

If you like DST fine. I do not

Completely agree other than the point it was fine before DST, DST is better for those golfers as well as kids sports after parents work, folks that work two jobs, folks with hobbies, you name it, i believe the majority benefit from DST but as we found last time proof of that is hard to find. It tends to be that DST likely does not benefit the hourly worker as much as the salaried worker. I get it, you want it dark when you go to bed, I want to get more done with daylight that otherwise would be wasted for me in the morning..

An answer but to a question that was not asked...

His question was in response to this:

When will Indiana come back from the brain washing that allows the sun to set after 10pm.
    Let’s “make Indiana great again”

“Indiana the land where time never changes.”

which would put it in the context of Indiana as I understood it. However, we could extrapolate it to other planets in the solar system if you want to broaden it even more to make your point.

I don’t use an alarm most weekends, so I prefer springing forward. Instead of naturally waking up at 8, it is 9! A whole extra hour of sleep. I imagine I’ll be waking up at 7 this weekend and I’m not looking forward to it.
