Any day now, I expect some California state legislator to introduce a bill allowing everyone to marry everyone, simultaneously. Everyone will be entitled to the same spousal benefits as everyone else. We'll call it, "Socialism."

Scotland has been pushing for independence for a long time now. Something like this just might get them their wish. Who here thinks England wants to be on the hook for social workers for every Scottish baby born?

Huh. My kid had TWO people assigned, for life. There was even a legally binding document for a third, should the first two become unavailable.

Well, they DO work (sometimes) and are even rather social! So... Social... Worker.... right?

What other kinds of children are there? Hatched? Spawned? ALL children are "born".

And that, folks, is a fine example of the dumbing down of American English such that a simple word order usage from an older time is longer recognized as proper.

    And what Lecaia said.
