Anybody have experience with this last January for Monster Jam? I want to take the little guy this weekend but prefer to carry as usual. Did they wand for this event in 2014?

The carry/no-carry policy is up to the person/entity leasing the property. I carried at the Alabama concert hosted by the NRA last spring. The NFL has a strict no weapons of any kind policy and so enforce. I'd check with the Monster Jam folks.

Don't ask - don't tell - or don't go. To me the idea of wanding every single person in line for a huge event is just.....stupid. Life is too short.

Knees to Nipples was my experience at a Colts game this fall. Go early so you have time to return the weapon to your car or go when it is busy and the wanders are tired and lazy.

Well since I was on a bus trip with no option to return a denied weapon to my car I chose not to risk carrying. With that said the wanding was very cursory from knees to nipples, front and sides only. We went into the Westin and then walked through the Convention Center and our checkpoint was at the south exit of the Convention Center before entering a tunnel. Not very busy at all and my wife and friends were just quick checks too.

NFL is the one with the strict anti-gun policy. Lucas Oil doesn't have one as far as I know. So depends on the event.

    Just did a quick check.

Both the Convention Center and Lucas Oil are managed by the Indianapolis Capital Improvement Board. As such, it is ILLEGAL for them to regulate firearms (State preemption). However, lessees of the space may have their own policies, and security will enforce them.

See page 20 of the following:
    http://www.lucasoilstadium.com/pdf/ICCLOSFacilityGuide.pdf

Monster Jam does not appear to have a policy on firearms. At least, nothing that can be found on their website or on TicketMaster. No video recording, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Not much else listed.

So, who all is going this weekend? My little girl is excited! Her pink ear muffs arrived this week, so she is ready to rumble!

Monster jam doesn't sound that appealing to me. Grape and blackberry, sure. Strawberry? Or course! But probably not monster jam, especially if it's anything like Hulk Cotton Candy.

I'm taking my boys 5 and 6 years old there pumped and can't wait to see grave digger, yes boring for us adults but kids love it! I miss the tuff truck competitions the did when I was a kid at monster jam . I late 60 bronco always seemed to win.
