For Sale a very nice Colt model 1861 rifled musket. during the civil war the Springfield Armory could not keep up with the demands of the Union Army. Thus the army issued additional contracts to other manfacturers. Colt received on of these contracts.
In the 90's Colt began to manufacture new muskets to the old specs. This musket is one of these. It has all of the correct markings of it's older cousin. Included are a like new sling and bayonet. Also a bag of .58 Cal mini balls and some powder. a Re Enactor's dream
