The Chinese want to build their own city in Idaho, and they are being greeted by open arms. They want to create a hub of economic growth and prosperity inside the United States (which will mean that they will need to achieve special treatment from U.S. customs and exemptions from our anti-capitalist regulations).

Apparently this kind of thing could become more common as we march toward the New World Order.

Most of them are greatly in favor of it. "Idaho’s the last state that should say we don’t want to do business with Asia," Idaho Lt. Gov. Brad Little said last year. "Asia’s where the money is."
"The Chinese are looking for a beachhead in the United States," said Idaho Commerce Secretary Don Dietrich. "Idaho is ready to give them one."

Sinomach is not looking only at Idaho. The company sent delegations to Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania this year to talk about setting up research and development bases and industrial parks. It has an interest in electric transmission projects and alternative energy as well.

SO would they not be subject to the Minimum wage laws and workers rights laws we have in this country?
I have no idea what laws this city would be subject to. But I find it very interesting.

Personally I think abolishing the socialist minimum wage requirements across the states would be a good thing.

minimum wage is a bad thing. Just drives up cost of everything and ends up helping no one, but it does bring more people closer to the poverty level.

I wonder if they will overlook some of our debt we owe to them:laugh:?
Or they have begun the repo of the U.S. for the debt?

Given how much of this country's debt China currently owns, Idaho may actually benefit from a city run by a country other than our own!!

The sad thing is, I'm just not sure if the above line deserves purple or not.

It sounds like they're just making a massive investment. The article seems paranoid. As long as the US is not giving up sovereignty over the self-sustaining city, as long as we continue to govern it, it's just foreign investment like anything else. It's not grabbing American territory and dropping a "communist Chinese city" in Idaho. The Japanese did similar stuff in the 80s when their economy was still good: they build factory complexes, bought the Rockefeller Center, etc. These moves were met with suspicion from people afraid of a foreign invasion. But no such invasion took place.

Anyone familiar with doing business in China knows that many of the biggest corporations and joint foreign ventures are linked to the government directly. This is not news. They already have buildings and headquarters in the US. As long as they live by American law, why pay them special attention?

Just great, they can invade us from with in

What can the Chinese do to us that is worse than what Washington has done to us? Washington has already enslaved us and our children with an unimaginable debt burden and left us surrounded by a dependent, entitlement-minded majority of people that feel it is their "right" to my property. I fear the domestic enemy more than I fear the foreign one! :patriot:

I don't like it, and compromise to the soverenty of out land is a step in the wrong direction. I do not like the sections of out land already blocked off as "International Free Trade Zones' by the Japanese either. Of course as mentioned, the majority of the enemies of the USA work on capital hill.

Being paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...

Selling off city sized chunks to a Communist Government owned company - how is that a reasonable risk?

Without going off on a total conspiracy rant - I have to believe this is Top Down(potus) planning to weaken our (the US) position in the world, and further push us to a total Global model.

I do not believe for a minute - that a company that is an industrial arm of the Chinese government , would come here and agree to be in any way governed by our laws. I see it being set up as an embassy type governance and it will in fact be a little chunk of China right here.

They will have their own "police" force - and by the time we realize they are using tanks as cruisers - we are screwed. This is in the same state were they have a fertilizer plant?? Look what Timothy McVeigh did with some diesel and fertilizer.

And they are looking to Ohio and PA - this is unreal.

Forgot having to learn Spanish in high school - better start teaching Mandarin...

Already happens all the time. The subaru plant in lafayette is a federal trade zone. Owned and operated under japanese control. If you are arrested on the property it is by federal marshals. It's not china, but then again they never attacked us either. This is a common practice the only difference is the japanese plants are utilizing americans as a majority of their workforce. God bless america!!!
