This is just one of several Lawfare lawsuits started. Brady, Everytown, et al are using the same tactics used during the Jim Crow era to shut down and bankrupt newspapers publishing stories about segregation and discrimination in the deep south -- hitting them with multiple defamation and libel lawsuits that they couldn't afford to defend against. This is a repeat of what started in the 1990's that had been halted by the PLCAA. The local governments have nearly unlimited resources. Doesn't matter if the manufacturers prevail, it's the death by a thousand cuts with the cost of defending themselves against continuous, multiple lawsuits.
