Can I swap barrels on a SBR?

If I have a legal 7" SBR registered, can I freely swap a longer barrel onto that lower back and forth so long as I never put the 7" on a non-registered lower?

As I understand it (i'm not a lawyer), so long as you have the ability to put the gun back into it's "registered SBR" configuration, you are GTG.
