Right. but as the rumor was phrased, "pooping in a hole" implies just removing the toilet so there is a hole. Not replacing a western toilet with an eastern toilet. Thats totally different.

And if they are retrofitting, why? When do they expect them to start "when in Rome..."? They gotta start pooping/peeing like a westerner SOMETIME.

EDIT: Or they can just find a nice friendly Middle Eastern country to settle in if they want to continue the custom. (or be prepared to retrofit their homes if they wish) When Sylvain and his buddies come here, do we need to add bidets to all our bathrooms too? After all, that is the custom of his homeland. :):

Right. Its not about getting the poop into the hole in the floor of a western building designed to connect to a flush toilet. Its about getting that accurately deposited poop to go away once its there. Unless its Wednesday AM after a wild taco tuesday, that poop's not going anywhere. :):

Going back to the toilet part of the thread, I spent my overseas tour in South Korea. In the villages there were "rest rooms." This consisted of a hole in the floor about 10 inches wide by two feet long with foot prints painted on the floor so you were in the correct position. Whatever went in the hole dropped about 10 or 12 feet into the stream that ran under the building and was washed out with the water. Made since, automatic flushing.
Of course sometimes you were not near a rest room when the urge hit, no problem then either. There was undisputable proof the people would just stop, pull down pants and let er go right on the dirt path called a sidewalk.
I will not forget one day driving an open jeep through the outskirts of a village, about 30 degrees and spitting snow. There is a kid about 10 or 12 years old squatting about 6 or 8 feet from the front door dropping the morning duty. Jim.

Can a C17 use such a small runway such as Attebury. While its long enough, its doesnt meet the width requirements. That would be dicey.
I've seen inbound C130s coming into IND. So if they are moving them with those, no reason they couldnt go direct to Atterbury.

Caught this report on a radio today....It is worth the short read.

    Some excerpts:

"Over 66-hundred people, only 25 had actual documents"

"Spartz said that it’s still not clear how many people who got on the planes out of Kabul are actual refugees. Secretary of State Antony Blinken told Congress last week that none of the people evacuated were vetted or screened before getting on the planes."

This whole thing is yet another crock of **** compliments of obiden and the ******** of his ilk.

I think the most important part of the article that was noted, that 47 are missing?!?
WTF do you mean missing? I live in Johnson County and don’t really like knowing that there could be someone walking around this county with bad intentions.

The move comes as there have been measles outbreaks at a number of U.S. military bases where the Biden administration is temporarily housing tens of thousands of Afghans. The military bases where Afghans are staying include:

    • Marine Corps Base in Quantico, Virginia
    • Fort Pickett in Virginia
    • Fort Lee in Virginia
    • Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico
    • Fort McCoy in Wisconsin
    • Fort Bliss in Texas
    • Fort Dix in New Jersey
    • Camp Atterbury in Indiana
In addition to measles, CDC officials revealed that some Afghans brought to the U.S. have spurred outbreaks of viruses such as varicella, mumps, tuberculosis, malaria, leishmaniasis, hepatitis A, and coronavirus.

The US seems to be good at importing disease
