Just wondering if anyone has body armor as part of their Preps.

At Four Guns I've been buying body armor from Vets and contractors to keep it out of the hands loons on eBay. Unfortunately now I have a rather large collection and not sure what to do with it.

    Could you explain why?

The same reason I won't sell a gun to a guy if it doesn't feel right. Loons make us all look bad. Why give the gun control peolpe ammo to use against us.

I'm not against people owning it. You just have to make sure its not the "wrong guy".

Have a 3A for me and a 2A for the boy but need a female one for the wife,
She needs a little more material in certain areas than most

I understand its not the be all end all but something is better than nothing and the effect on mobility is minimal to me

So yes it is part of my plan

I've got a few sets, unfortunately I bough most of them almost exactly 4 years ago. They have since dropped in price quite a bit.

Not being antagonistic, but what makes you qualified to judge whether or not someone should own something?

I still haven't seen any convincing reports that he was armored. By the next day, that had dropped off any of the police's talk about the incident. The press reports sound as if a "tactical vest" (basically a cartridge carrier) got transmogrified into "armored vest." I'm skeptical.

And you can keep the 'em...

Dragon Skins are my LAST choice for Body Armor for Combat...

    Do you have a recommendation?

I prefer products from Point Blank, Tyr Tactical, Diamondback Tactical just for starters. From there I would need to have an idea of the intended uses and purposes to narrow down the choices some. Plate Carriers, Over Vests, Concealed, etc, etc...
