Best bourbon under $50?

Picked up a bottle of Four Roses small batch.

It hits the mark of this thread and then some.

Correct Sir, FRSB is a fine bottle, and fyi, we've collectively "beat the brakes" off any guidelines this thread ever had, lol.

Another vote for Elijah Craig as a great whiskey that's about $25 at Costco

My current favorite is Cinder and Smoke but it's about $100
But I still have a slight preference toward Scotch. I'm starting to try more Irish whiskys.

Martin's Supermarket has High West bourbon for $20/bottle. Usually $38. Good stuff for a great price.

Yep, had to make a Kroger run. Took home some Evan Williams for my mixers, Knob Creek 9 and Bulleit. My daughter on the other hand finished the mandatory 6 with some nice wines, and since it was 6 minimum picked up a few bottles of wine we usually wouldn't have purchased.

30% off made for some really nice buys!!!

Anyone have any Denver area bourbon distillery tours/tasting rooms to recommend? Right now just thinking Old Elk, though it's only a tasting room and their spirits are distilled in Indiana, lol!

$35ish. Solid bottle, nice to see something from JD in mid range proof, and 100 proof is my preference for an everyday sip.
I also seen a Triple Mash offering from JD I'm feeling compelled to try.

Buddy of mine found the Triple Mash and said he's a big fan of it, I'm still keeping an eye out for one.

Retirement is making me seek more bottles under $50.
My last full year of work, I bought and rat holed one of my favorite bottles each week.

No picture, but my gf bought me a nice store pick (7th & 70 Liquors, Terre Haute) bottle of Old Elk Wheated Bourbon. Wow it's got some smooth heat! Proof is 117.4! I haven't had a high proof wheated before. It's a bit different and worth a try if you see a bottle on the shelf.

Been searching high and low for an OE with the elk head topper. Finally found one in Kansas City while visiting the boy kid a few weeks ago...

I was disappointed int the Kirkland. I like 1792 original. Different batch, different taste.
