Best bourbon under $50?

Kid has been in Tulsa for biddness this week. Found handles of Weller SR for $40. Got me the orange bottle of Pinhook for $30, I really like that one. Also got the blue bottle of Penelope for $45, been wanting to try that one.

Just a reminder, for a wheated bourbon, Makers Mark is the golden standard by which all other bourbons should be measured.

I gotta admit that my 2nd round of COVID-19 in early 2023 has really screwed up my pallet. It's maybe s l o w l y returning but I still can't pick out the subtle flavor notes. Almost everything is oak and cinnamon.

And I would say if you find a bottle of MM 101 on sale, nab it... good stuff. Wishing i would see it for $26 a bottle again at Meijer... no such joy.

Bedrock liquors in Lafayette. It was $53 after tax last week.

I agree. I can only assume the hype is the availability in 25 states.
