i just recently purchased Bersa BP 9 CC Duo-Tone and was curious to what everyones thoughts are on Bersa in general it shoots really nice. i have read fairly good reviews on it
I've owned a Bersa Thunder 380 and I currently own a Thunder 9 pro. I've been very happy with them overall. A close friend of mine and my father also own Bersa pistols. I did have an incident where the locking mechanism on my Thunder 380 rotated out of position and it wouldn't fire, but they fixed it under warranty in a very timely manner. The most important thing about any firearm though is do YOU like it?
Just a quick heads-up. I would put more "stock" in reviewers who have owned Bersas, those who haven't may be be a little prejudiced to higher priced handgun.... Just my opinion.
I have two, a 9mm and a 45. I enjoy them both and while they have limitations they are very accurate and highly dependable. I often carry the 45 around town when not carring my Glock 26. In addition I own other Glocks, Smiths, Rugers, Colts and a few other odds and ends. If the price was "right" I'd buy another in a heart beat.
Good luck and carry and shoot what you feel comfortable with.
I have a BP9CC, put about 250 rds through it and like it alot. My favorite feature is the trigger...hands down the best DAO trigger I've encountered. Recoil is even light enough for my wife. The light trigger and recoil make it easy to stay on target.
Not a big fan of the magazine disconnect though...
I have a Bersa Thunder 380. It was built in 2003, and has been super reliable. It is the one gun I have, that I would never sell.
There was a time, when you would never hear of a problem with a Bersa.
Lately however, I have heard more than one complaint, and am not sure
the newer ones are as good as the older models.
Of course this is just what I have encountered.
I am not so sure that with all the gun buying frenzy, anyone is making them
as good as before.
