From the title, it read as if he fired a weapon while on his own property / home. Wasn't until I read it that I realized he fired shots at / into someone else's house. Yes, not well written.

But all writing skills aside, I wonder what kind of sentence he will get? That's some crazy behavior.

Why can't "professional" journalists proofread their stories before posting them? I see at least two errors in the writing.

Horrible ones. Residents instead of residence.

Be fair, the journalist may have written it correctly, but it was hot in the car, the crayon melted and the editor had a hard time reading it.
