So I'm surfing around the internet, just looking at "gun stuff", and up pops a bed side holster holder. Keeps a mag lite and a handgun where you can just reach down and grab either one without getting out of bed. I call the wife over and say "Wow! Look at this! Isn't this cool!!" She thinks for a minute and then says "The next time I'm trying to sleep and you do that running dog thing where you shake the mattress, it would be too easy to stop it", and then just walks away. Hmmm. Guess I'll not order one.

My wife has told me she's been tempted to smother me because of my snoring. So giving her easy access to the old handgun may not be a great idea! Haha

I keep a shoulder holster over the headboard. Its easy to slip on, then you have your gun, spare ammo, and a light all ready to go.

Because I saw it in a movie, I'm sure it's a realistic idea (implied sarcasm): How about a strong magnet under the bed frame holding the gun? Other than polymer, stainless not attracting and potential scratches...

Does this idea have a chance?

If you use a magnet, make sure to also get a vanguard to cover the trigger guard. I don't like the idea of leaving a trigger guard open...
