    Staged or not... It's entertaining. And you may very well be able to pick up some tips of sorts that might come in handy.

    I've only ever seen him get an "assist" once from a camera guy. He was climbing up (or down?) something and started slipping. He reached for an outstretched hand and took it to keep him from falling. It wasn't going to be good for him to fall...

    I personally prefer to watch Survivor Man, though, but the "style" of the show can grate at times. I can't imagine how much that guy walks to get his shots; like when he'll set up his camera....then a few minutes later you see him 1/4mile away "walking out". Not like he just leaves that camera there!? (or does he...and just GPS tag it for later retrieval?)
