One guy at the show yesterday tried to make me a "deal" by offering a 525 count box for "only" $100.

    Yeah, no thanks.

I saw some 500 for 65. There is a member posting in classifieds that's asking 50 per that's the best I've seen for awhile

I have to agree with that statement. It is a shame as many new shooters are introduced to the sport with a 22. My first was a single shot my father bought for me when I was 12. I still have it 58 years later.

I saw it running between $50.00 and $75.00 a brick Saturday at Greenfield and Muncie shows. Even the guy selling it thought it was ridiculous. I believe we'll see a ease on supply and prices by June. I'll shoot something else before I pay that kind of money for .22lr. By the way, I saw the STG-44 replica at Delaware County. Looks very good. But it shoots .22lr.

    Hey gang,

Check out Gunbot.net. It allows you to watch ammo for sale at multiple sites and set an alert for the max price per round you want to pay. I've bought about 1000 rounds at less than .10/round, including the shipping charge.

i went to walmart the other day and found two boxes of federal lr .22 550 count box and it was only 22 dollars..

Jeez. The "new low price" that folks have mentioned is kicking in. I saw that stuff for $18.97 at Walmart last summer.

(I remember when it was $9.97 about 7-8 years ago)

I went to Wal Mart In Plainfield last night (late) and I went back to where the ammo was at and guess what nothing. As I was walking away my wife said to me is that Walmart Employee have ammo in a bag ? I looked and you could see it was 22lr. It was in a walmart grey bag. I'm old but I can see real good ( I wassn't 5ft away) and why would a employee have a bag full of ammo. Or was it someone dressed as a Walmart Employee just getting my blood pressure up. Oh well
