In the latest installment of FBI on CBS, the shooters used "assault shotgun rounds". I never knew that was a thing. The pile of shells they showed was a mix of high and low brass hulls. By that evidence, I evidently have a bunch of "assault shotgun rounds". I wonder if that put me on another list? :dunno:
Assault shotgun rounds... I guess I'm OK since mine is loaded with 00 Buck. Does having wood furniture make mine less assaulty?

Saw that episode and was not surprised at the anti-gun slant. The best I have seen, other that endless ammo supply in a 30 round mag was a CSI Miami where the genius investigator picked up a round off a bed and declared it was a rare "41 millimeter". I would like to see the handgun that fired it. And I doubt there would be much left to the poor victim.

FBI is bad. but FBI Most Wanted is the worst of the 3.

The words “assault” and “tactical” when put on something for sale is a money making scheme that works very well. Oh and guess I have an assault shotgun. My 590 is full of 00 buck with slugs at the ready too.

Everyone knows "assault" = fully semi-auto, which means the assault shotgun rounds were fired from a semi-auto shotgun. Those rounds are different than the ones fired from a pump, single-shot, O/U, or SxS shotty.
    They're one louder!

I wonder when the AFT will come out with a score sheet to determine if it is an assault shotgun or not.
    Pistol grip = 1 point
Extended mag tube of any capacity = 1 point
    Bayonet lug = 1 point
Ghost ring sights = 1 point
Side saddle or elastic cuff for extra assault shotgun ammo = 1 point
    Heat shield = 2 points
Red dot sight = 2 points
    Detachable magazine = 2 points
    Semi-auto = 2 points
Pistol grip stock or adapter to attach a collapsible stock and pistol grip = 2 points
Any combination over 4 points = Assault shotty
