I've read a little about this on akfiles. ARAK Guns Bulgarian AK74 Rifle | Wood stock set, 5.45x39 caliber

    It's available on rrc firearms

I guess a few people left Waffen Werks to start their own company rebuilding Bulgarian 74's

Does anyone have one of these or any more information?

Never heard of em, but the specs literally look identical to the Waffen's.

Hopefully these guys don't get in legal trouble with waffen. I'm sure they had to sign some kind of contract upon hiring and employment, stating that they wouldn't work for any competitor, steal business, etc... for a period of time thereafter unemployment.

Seems like the same gun to me. I'm not sure why waffen werks isn't getting mad about being knocked off like that. Seems like a good rifle though

My WW 74 is built on a Nodak Spud receiver. Kind of odd WW would supply receivers to a competitor... and one local to them to boot.

I went with the WW instead. ARAK hasn't really been around long enough for me to base a purchase on their quality. I've heard good things and it seems like the same gun. I just didn't want to take the risk on an unproven brand
