    I did a .40 a long time ago and got my barrel, bcg and buffer from Macon Armory. Great quality and guy to deal with. Highly recommend.

    Cmmg banshee is pretty interesting. But definitely research that one.

    There was a thread here from some people were having issues with the .45 version though.

    I have a 10mm banshee and it has needed a break-in of about 70-80 rounds, and has been great after that.

    I really like my PCC in 9mm and recently have been thinking I “need” one in 45 acp. Any recommendations, thing to avoid, or where to buy?
    I've given this a thought to two myself...but have been skeptical about the CMMG.
    I'm going to watch this thread...see what recommendations are given.

    That’s what I was thinking about doing. I am a big fan of Palmetto State, and I see they offered a .45 acp braced piston the past, but no longer.
