    just saw this on a crowdfund, and it intrigued me. It seems so simple, i wonder why i haven't seen more of them. what do you guys think?

    Why do these guys always crane claw the piece? Just use the off hand like you should.

    Why not just run the gun like you should that way you do need to put more crap on the weapon?

    Each to his own. I know they just want to sell gear but I just don't get this stuff.

    This. The reason the AR is designed the way it is is to decrease action exposure to dirt/debris. Milling a big opening in the side of the upper receiver is detrimental to the design, IMO. I'm not sure either why the charging handle should be on the side, it's only a few inches from the normal placement of the charging handle (CH). If you need better purchase on the CH try a Bravo Company. They rock.
    Jsut another thought, adding a CH on the side of the reciever could lead to malfunctions as the support arm can get hit. This is a problem with the SCAR if you leave it on the left side, so it stands to reason that it would be on the AR as well.
