A change is in the wind.....2 weeks ago Blythes in Griffith was selling Bushmasters @ 1600 - yesterday @ 1300.....the pipeline is starting to flow again and demand is subsiding. Hang on to your cash and pick one up @ 800 in another month

Demand is down after the suckers spent their cash, and the media has generally reported that any such weapons "ban" is unlikely to occur.

I'll be happy when ammunition prices return to normal.

Somewhere around the first of January of 2000, I remember standing in line at the customer service counter at Lowes...There was a guy standing in line in front of me wanting to return a NIB generator. I think I'm safe in assuming he bought it to hedge his bet against the feared Y2K bug...it'll be interesting to see how many of those AR/AK's bought at the top of the curve are attempted to be sold when market drops.

Good to hear the fear buying epidemic is subsiding. I am excited for people to flood the market with "average" priced weapons and ammo so I can pick some more up. I couldn't bring myself to file for divorce buy spending $2k on an AR

    Good. I sold my sole AR (M&P 15 Sport) that I bought for $695 in 2010 for $1600 with 2 P-mags. LOL.

    Idiots.

I'm glad I traded the WASR for an R1 when I did. I'll just buy another one when the bottom falls out and the prices are back to "normal"

We recently came to know that Obama Joe was going to go our way, but I got a letter from Susan Brooks yesterday, and she is going our way too, so things are looking better.

    Part of Susan's letter:

I am a proud supporter of the right to bear arms and will work tirelessly to protect the Second Amendment while in office. I do not believe an assault weapons ban is a wise or useful policy and will not support one as a member of Congress.

Guns going down, but I don't foresee them coming back to reasonable levels for quite some time.

Ammo will be a continued pain and I'll bet Mags stay in the 2-3x range for a while too, until the mag ban dies in committee(hopefully). Rest assured they WILL try to pass a magazine ban so WRITE YOUR REPRESENTATIVES!

I'll also be happy when the prices of ammo goes down because I went to Blythe's and PMC range ammo is almost as much as defensive ammo. Even Wolf Ammo is going up/.

Lower prices are going to suck for some people! When I was at bradis a week ago I heard a story about a guy managing to buying up 30 ARs at the already high prices. He was expecting to make a nice profit when a ban was passed. Some people need to understand the "buy low, sell high" principle can't be overlooked when the return risk is so high.

I have seen prices falling on ammo/mags/guns for about the past week. Seems like people are becoming more realistic. Thank Lord Baby Jesus!

Dont think so IMHO prices will stay in limbo (what market will bear) then spike again after the next politico or man made headlines.

About the time things get close to normal, another firearm "incident" or a statement from our Prez will get the waters churning again.........

I see this as the pattern for a long time to come. What Congress will do, if anything, will tell a lot.

I heard a story at a gun shop about a guy...

If true, I wonder if he has a FFL. It wouldn't surprise me if ATF will be especially watchful for this type of thing in the coming weeks.
