I had been tossing around the idea of building a 20" A2 rifle, for some time.

When I stumbled across this stripped lower, a while back, that sealed the deal. I decided it would be a commemorative rifle, of sorts, for my early days in the Army.

Finally, got the rest of the parts together and built this, one evening, last week. It is a great shooter, despite the 6.5 lb MILSPEC trigger. I have ordered a two stage trigger for it. (2 lb - 1st stage, 2.5 lb - 2nd stage)

Out of the first 100 rounds, I had one FTF, but that was an ammunition problem. The first three rounds grouped in 1/2" at 25 meters and were 2-1/2" below point of aim with a Battle Sight Zero.

As a kid I always though the M4 carbine featured in T2 was the be all end all of AR15 coolness, and that the 20in longboys where super lame. In that last few years after spending some time with full rifle length AR15s I've really fallen in love with them.
