I think Brownells could really have something with this. Most folks remember a day when it wasn't all about a red dot. I've been looking for an A2 upper receiver AR-15 with the carry handle for a long time just for old times sake and the only option I can find from a factory is a bushmaster m4a2. My only hesitation is that it says bushmaster on the side of it.

I snagged a factory Rock River 16" A2 carbine earlier this week on arfcom, and I am getting ready to build another A2 upper with the spare I have in the safe. It's an old Bushmaster A2, looking forward to it! Love me some carry handle action!!

I bought an A2 stripped upper direct from Rock River for my XM177E2 pseudo clone...

It's funny to me how all things come full circle and what was old becomes new again. Yeah, red dots are great, scopes are great, and all the gizmo's out there are great and have their place. Every once in a while though I like to pick up a rifle and know the battery isn't dead because there isn't one, the scope turrets didn't get tweaked, the glass didn't crack or fog, the rings or base didn't come loose, the laser beams didn't get out of alignment, etc. There's a place for a very simple rifle that's just got less to worry about. I've got guns with all the bells and whistles, but really looking to get back into something simple and robust.

My take on an A2 clone. Olympic forged carry handle upper, 20 inch lightweight 1-7, 5.56 barrel from JSE Surplus, Mil-surp A2 handguards, sitting on an Anderson lower, with Geissle SSA-E, that I rotate between 3 separate rifle uppers. The A2, a bull barrel .223 Wylde, and a 20 inch 6.5 Grendel

I'm not sure if this goes in long guns since it's technically a pistol, but here it is, my latest build.
This really did it for me I think. I can see more of these coming in my future. The ease of the build and the ability to make it exactly what you want is something I really enjoy.

    Parts:
    Noreen billet upper / lower
Faxon 10.5" barrel, BCG, gas block
Odin atlas muzzle device and o2 hand guard
RA 140 trigger w/ KINs pins
    Radian charge handle
    Magpul grip and flip-up sights
    Law Tactical folder
    Random pistol buffer

I'm not 100% done yet. I don want to change the pistol buffer out for something more exciting and do some cerakoting on it.

Carry handle is the way to go. Rails just encourage the hanging of useless crap. Carry handle has a hole for an optic. FSB has a bayonet mount. That is all you need.

Maybe just the ambi safety, mag release and charging handle are already done. Wife was Air Force, hence the engraving and color

Hey all. I wanted to share a gold mine I found from a private sale. Colt R6601DH Delta AR15. Made in 1992, the rifle came with everything in the picture. I have done some research to determine a value, but does anybody have 1st hand knowledge???
