Anyone know anything about Crested Butte, CO?

I am considering spending the next ski season in a mountain town. I am looking hard at Crested Butte because it appears to have good skiing, is not too crowded, and is a bit cheaper than my current favorite (Breckenridge).

Anyone spend any time in Crested Butte? Even better, anyone have any inside angles they would share on any Colorado ski town?
