    Well, both. We have three livestock guardian dogs that live outdoors. Because they're outdoors all of the time there isn't downtime for charging. We have six batteries with one set on the dogs and one set on the charger at any time. I think of it as changing but it's changing between rechargeable batteries.
    I think a battery might run for 30ish hours before completely dying.
    Ah, gotcha now. That makes sense.

    NO GO zone, not the issue for us, the issue was the dogs love the water and we did not want them locked out of the pond. Im sure many upgrades since.
    My spoton is IP67 rated.

    My dog is a GSD so he isn't like a Labrador that goes swimming EVERYTIME they are outside, but he runs through it and swims every now and then. I think it would handle Labs also.
