Any of you guys have F-150?

Man, I am going to have to break down and buy a new truck. I really wanted another 3/4 ton....but I have a chance to get a 2019 F-150 SuperCrew cab, 4x4, XLT with Sport package. It is a nice truck, 60,000 miles and a pretty decent price. The draw back to me is 1/2 ton......and it has that twin turbo 2.7L V-6.

I am getting to the point though where I hardly ever haul huge loads, and my dump trailer usually never exceeds 9,000 pounds and I don't plan on plowing snow with it.....so I am wondering if I would be happy with 22 MPG and a 1/2 ton. I mean, I would still have my old F250 for trash runs and going to the dump.

What say you guys.....all opinions welcome. Just wondering if any of you have this truck/engine combination?

Don't knock those tiny engines - they do have decent power.

I bought a 2019 work F150 (2wd, no extras) and am happy with it.

I always go the bigger V8 engine. 2021 V8 4x4 super crew lesser skid plate than the FX4. I mostly haul air. Depending on usage.

I had a '14 with the 3.5 and a '16 with the 2.7. No complaints with either truck and when not loaded the 2.7 was better on gas.

I have a 2018 F150 with the 5.0 and 10 speed. 88k on it and I haven't had any problems. I've never been a fan of the 10 speed shifting, once it is out of warranty I will probably get a transmission tune.

If you have the 250 as a backup, go for it. I have a 350 with the 6.2 and the mpg sucks, but use it mainly for the camper and dump trailer. Had the 2.0 ecoboost in both Fusions I’ve owned. Good engine.

I have a 2018 F150 with that tiny turbo engine and it has all the power i would ever need. (330BHP I think) coupled with a 10 speed transmission. 55k on the odometer and no issues at all. The gas mileage isn't a problem either. The days of needing a V8 are over.

Yes.6in lift front and 5 in back. Get one. I think you will be happy with it

I’ve got a 2016 with the 5.0 and 6 speed transmission. Currently sitting at 242k miles. Had to replace the transmission at 175k. Other than regular maintenance that’s been it. Here’s a couple of pics I took when she rolled over 237k a few weeks ago.

Have had several customers we sold campers to with the Ford turbo V-6. They all loved them and seem to do a decent job pulling smaller to mid sized campers.
