Looks like my Goodman central AC compressor is shorted out; its the R24 type- . Anybody want a side job?

22/24 what ever it takes.....

You might be money/time ahead to replace the unit with the R-410 equipment.

The guy who came out and gave an estimate said the a- coil, freon lines, and some other stuff had to be changed to switch over- we"re looking pretty seriously at moving south, so cost is a definite factor

Yep he’s not wrong. Gotta replace everything on the refrigeration system when switching from 22 to 410.
