I am putting the finishing touches on a new brass polishing tumbler. I stopped in a local pet store to get corn cob and found a bag of ground Almond shells. Do any of you reloaders use almond? It was pretty cheap and I don't want too buy something that I can't use if my tumbler doesn't work. I've heard of guys using ground walnut shells but not almond. Any ideas?

Was there a big cost difference between the almond shells and the other media. I was able to pick up 25L of pulverized walnut on amazon for 6.50. It was considered used because of a small hole in the bag but it was mostly there. I am not sure how often deals like this cam be had but worth checking out.
