    Thanks.
I've been watching the progress on your built-ins.
Been hopeful for the completion pics. They look fantastic so far.
When I complete it, I will post pics.

I got slowed down, but I have completed the door frames. I am still waiting on the veneer I am using for the door panels.

Lead times, and prices are getting inhibitive.
I have people coming back to me wanting projects done, and I have to explain to them, that materials are more difficult to get, and the cost of them has increased substantially.
Some hardware I use, has up to a year lead time, and now some are requiring MOQ's. I've been searching for reasonably priced replacements for some.

I'll watch for your pics. They're going to look great.

In a land a long time ago, I did one of the semi's, with the trailer and bulldozer combo. They weren't as nice as yours.

The gentleman with the thirdgen Camaro, that wanted the lit emblems from above, has a friend wanting some emblems for his car in aluminum. These are what I modeled for him. Top is a positive, and bottom is a negative.
I hope he likes them, and I'll get started on them.

Haha thank you. I did the bulldozer too, don’t have any good pictures of it. I’m working on the mobile crane for him, I’m having a heck of a time making the main lift cylinder though so I’ve stalled out on that

To be completely transparent, I was working from plans, so basically all I had to do was cut the pieces the right size and glue them together. I do like yours though, it’s got an old world charm.
That's just a photo I found on the internet. I never took pics of stuff I did, until people started asking about it.
Word of mouth had people contacting me for various projects, so I started a portfolio to show them the items I've completed.

The semi I did, was similar to yours. If I remember correctly, I had to cut and shape all the parts, except the wheels.
I think the plans came from Winfield, or maybe Cherry Tree? It's been at least 25 years.

Oh thank God cause that looks like crap :lmfao:
These are from Wood Magazine, I’m not sure when the first one came out, dad had a stash of woodworking magazines I found after he passed so I started making them for my boy.

Do you have a lathe? Center drill then turn round, dowel slide into that hole. Are you expecting the cylinder to hold the boom?

I do have a lathe, the problem is the cylinder is almost 7” so I’d have to find a pretty long bit and im afraid it would never be straight. No, the cylinder hold the boom, there’s some all thread that connects the mast to the crane that will hold it.

You could do the cylinder in 2 or 3 pieces stepping down the diameter with each.

Do you have a wood lathe or metal lathe? Do you have pin jaws? With pin jaws or metal lathe with pass through headstock, drill one end 60%, then flip end for end and drill the opposite end the rest of the way.
Or, it could be done in two sections, with a mortise and tenon joint to join and align them.
