I went in last night. Unfortunately no grand opening sales yet it seems until the "grand opening" next week. I'll be traveling during the first couple of days, but hope to get by there again and see some grand opening deals.

Sportsman's Warehouse in Greenwood

I've been there once, to pick up a Ruger American Ranch in 7.62x39 that I ordered on their site and shipped to the store. When I got there and told them what I was picking up, the guy at the gun counter told me Ruger doesn't make one of those in x39

Imagine his surprise when he opened the box to confirm the serial number...

There is Academy signage up on the big Village Park Plaza shopping center sign along 31 North. I saw it the other day and thought "holy crap, they built that place super fast!" But if you squint you'll see a tiny sign with about 4-point font that reads "coming soon." The store itself is still all hollowed out and a big work in progress.

According to a local guy on Nextdoor (https://nextdoor.com/p/m2wZBxbxFkkC?utm_source=share&extras=NDc2Njk4OQ==) they are soliciting bids to to occupy an old Marsh location in Westfield. This would be easy access from US 31 and I for one would welcome some competition in the area.
