I know murder is bad. And I’m glad he was caught but does anyone else find it weird with “how terrible” the US is that this guy was on the top 15 for a single homicide??

Convicted for his role in another murder-got 5 years, released in 3. Then he kills someone else. News like this is why citizens need the right to carry-the government will never do a good enough job.
That's a cop-out. Both murder victims resided in states that already have the right to carry. The libertarian approach didn't work in this case, because for whatever reason the citizens involved wouldn't or couldn't do a good enough job.

This is why we need _Government_ to do the job we pay them to do: use State power to A) incarcerate if appropriate, and B) execute if not.

Looking at the US marshals 15 most wanted list, it appears that aside from doing something majorly bad, being wanted for a long time and/or having run out of leads can get you on the list. There is a couple (man and woman couple) who were on the list only since 2022 for child rape and murder (and have been caight), but most of them appear to have been wanted for several years. Larry Eubanks has been wanted since 1973.

This is why capital punishment, and swift execution of sentence needs to make a come back.
