what kind of camera are you using? I have always wanted to go to a large forest and do some back packing

This camera is a Kodak SP360. Competitor to Gopro. Like Gopro too, but mine grew legs and left me. So I'm trying out this Kodak as a replacement. Gopro really is a nice small camera for nature photography if you understand it's limitations.
I sometimes drag along a more traditional point and shoot camera. (Panasonic Lumix.)
