This is a what if question. But it could happen, and I know I would want to do the right thing.

    The situation:
You are in Florida, Miami to be specific. There is chaos all around you caused by a hurricane with severe flooding. This is a flood of biblical proportions. You are a photojournalist working for a major newspaper, and you're caught in the middle of this epic disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless.
You're trying to shoot career-making photos. There are houses and people swirling around you, some disappearing under water. Nature is unleashing all of its destructive fury.
Suddenly you see a man and a woman in the water. They are fighting for their lives, trying not to be taken down with the debris. You move closer. Somehow they look familiar and suddenly you realize who they are. It's Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi!! (I won't go into why they were in Miami together) At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take them under forever.
You have two options: You can save their lives or you can shoot a dramatic Pulitzer Prize winning photo, documenting the deaths of two of the worlds most powerful people.
Here's the career changing question, and please give an honest answer...
Would you select high contrast color film, or would you go with the classic simplicity of black and white?

gee no one is jumping on this, guess I'll play along... :):

    Reaction to scenario:

Being the World Class photojournalist that I would be in this scenario...I would use both, one in each hand. While tiptoeing my way across the floating debris maintaining the perfect shot.

    :D :ingo:

If you go with "color" your a racist! If you go with "black and white" you play into discrimination! F*ck it, throw rocks at them and use your blurry camera phone to capture their last demonic nazi-facist, kingdom ruling, socialist pushing, US Troop Hating, Denying Christianity, arrogent breath and sell it for millions to every magazine in the world, then retire to Montana where there is no hurricanes and you can shoot all day everyday!!!

Please tell me you don't still have an acoustic coupler... :):

You know, if you take the photo in color, you can always post-process it into shades of grey. That way you'll have the option to switch at any time. If you start with B&W, you lose all that color information.
