I had money for a better grinder, but some folks talked out of it for some reason. Bought some more materials and other tools instead.. On day..

I just dropped 300 on the next round of belts for knives and openers.. I will say that TAG is sexy as all could be.. I think if I am going to go to a 2x72, I am going to go big.

I like the ability of the TW90 to flip so easily. The TAG requires the flipping plate and twice the room to do so... otherwise it's pretty damn awesome.

I am going to set up my little LB to flip horizontally. It will probably stay that way a lot.

I have to admit: the TW is a sexy one. I have a great friend who has 3. I can count how many times he has flipped them horizontal on one hand. It is super cool. Not a feature I think I will use much.

Variable speed is so much better of a feature than horizontal turning. I would spend my $ there, first. You can make anything flip..... Sort of like my wife. It's just how hard you try. ;)

The variable speed is a given. I do a lot of profiling and using/abusing my spindle sander on things that having a small wheel attachment on a horizontal grinder would be great for (and the belts would be cheaper than the spindles). It would save my spindle sander for finger holes and hard to reach angles instead of using it for everything. :rockwoot:

Well I finally pulled the string. Ordered the LB1000, small wheel attachment, and a set of small wheels.

Big thanks to Joe aka Cubby for helping me decide what path to take.
