I just came into a Old Box of .243/6mm 100g Round Nose Boolits. My Hunting days are Long past; however, I have a friend that hunts Whitetail in Sou IN with .243. (Probably No Shots out past 200Y) My question is, would these Round Nose pellets have any Benefit over Today's Wide variety of Hunting-specific Projectiles? If not, perhaps I'll just load them up for my own use (Plinking steel plates). Thoughts?

A picture would help. Is it a true round nose bullet or the typical conical shaped jacketed rifle bullet with an exposed lead tip? If nothing else, it would still have value for practice.

They’ll do. I wouldn’t seek them out but I wouldn’t be afraid to shoot them. People used to think they were a good “brush” round because they wouldn’t deflect off small branches. This has been proven to be untrue.
