Not mine, but a friend's kid found this over the weekend. I don't have any details, but with the color, I'm guessing it was injured (car, gutshot, etc.), went to some water to die, then decompsed. Looks like it was a nice buck.
Had a good day today. I found 2 on one property with a friend. Then my wife went went me to another place and I found 3 and she found 2. The biggest one, far left, measured 63". Will be a dandy next year!
The top left is a match to one I found a few weeks ago.
My best season ever keeps getting better. Found 5 today and a dead buck. The buck was really chewed up. One of the beams was completely chewed off and was laying 10 yds away. 3 of the sheds were old. The odd thing is that 11 of the 14 fresh sheds have been left sides.
I've been wondering.
I have walked my 50 acres every weekend since the beginning of February and I still have yet to find a single shed.
No sign of coyote, and there aren't THAT many squirrels...
I saw this ine from my tractor, called to my old shed dod Dave for the retrieve. Old Dave doesn't range very far anymore, hope this wasn't his last antler.
My annual shed hunting trip to Kansas was last weekend. Nothing real exciting on the shed side (found about 10), but did find a decent dead head. He has a huge frame, and great forks, but is missing the crab claw making him a 3x3. It sucks to find one this big dead, but Im glad he is out of the breading pool.
