From the 2022 starling thread, and being beaten out of the 2022 coyote thread, I bring you the 2022 crow killing thread.

I won’t start until the end of June or beginning of July. But don’t let that stop you from getting started.

I’m not expert. I just started helping out a farmer when there wasn’t much else to hunt and the bluegill were off the beds. I have an old crow call that was my dad’s and some crow sounds on my Foxpro. The farmer didn’t believe I could call them in. I found out by accident coyote hunting one day that crows come to a crow distress call really well.
Then I found crowbusters.com and had a good time reading about it.
So now I’m in the crow hunting/sweet corn protection racket. Lol

Season officially opens Friday. Corn was planted late due to weather. Haven't seen them like the past couple of years yet. Starting to hear them a little more. Been seeing quite a few on my way to work so I'm thinking they are on their way.

I'm seeing crows once maybe twice a week now. Used to be daily.

Either I have them scared off or dak109 is taking the population down?

They are hit or miss on the farm, which I think is northeast of you a little. I have about 5 buzzing my house. Too many houses to shoot at my place unless they hit the the ground in one spot.

    I've taken a couple recently.

Proudest of a 35 yard head shot, when that was all there was to see over a hill. Got it with the PCP P-Rod pistol.

Another was at 50 yards, with the 17HMR.
