Play stupid games and win stupid prizes. I lived near J-ville for 4 years while stationed at Lejeune. It had some really nice areas and some really bad areas. I chose to live south of the base for a while and far northeast of the base to stay out of J-ville. Good for the Marines, hopefully they don't feel any repercussion from the Corps and shame on those two low-lifes who are now 6-feet under.

There is no mention of the intruders having a weapon, only that they reportedly attacked the residents. Marines are trained to kill, so bad mistake if the perps did attack them. It would seem the intruders should have tried to run when they heard someone come home, especially three males. Would it be innappropriate use of deadly force if the intruders weren't at least armed with a knife or bat? These guys might be the next George Zimmermans, but they have the advantage of being inside their home. In believe in most states you can shoot any intruder inside your home with no need to give a reason.

Believe the report said that gunfire was "exchanged". Badguys would have needed gun to exchange fire. USMC 2 - Idiots 0!!

Police say the intruders attacked the residents and gunfire was exchanged. The two intruders killed have been identified as 33-year-old Diego Everett and 33-year-old Maurice Skinner, both from Jacksonville.

Sounds like a justified self defense kill to me.

Guess they needed to learn better target selection. Oh well, Darwin took care of it pretty well i think.
