    I am trying to pick up an unfired, never handled, spent life in it's original box G19. Would it be worth picking up for near todays price for a 3rd gen? I wouldn't carry or shoot it. Only store it as a colletor. Any advice as to what it's worth is appreciated

    If the price is "near today's price for a 3rd Gen," then it's either NOT an actual 1st Gen G19, or the poor sap selling it doesn't know what he has.

    Note the overall pebbled texture and the non-standard grip shape. Also, what is the serial number prefix?
