We went to FedEx Kinko's for ours and had not issues. THEY would not copy it for me and explained that they couldn't do it since the state charged a fee. However, she gave me a stack of matching pink paper, set the copier to copy very light, used a b/w copier, inserted the pink paper, and pushed copy. Looked perfect to us. Made a few more copies, signed one, and laminated it right there.

So even though they wouldn't do it for me, they did everything possible for us to do it ourselves.

Got my LTCH today and took Hiram2005's advice and went to Staples in Noblesville. When I asked if they had any pink paper for the copier, the guy there asked what for and I showed him my LTCH. You would have thought I tossed him a live grenade with the pin pulled. He started to stutter and said I can't make a copy there. Guess Hiram got lucky. Next time I'm headin north, I'll stop by and visit Printcraft.
Same experiance here! I went to the Staples in the Broadmoor Shopping Center on South Bends south side for a copy, and soon as the Woman seen my paper, she jumped back and would not come within 10-15 feet of me. You would have thought I pulled my Firearm on her scared as she was. :dunno: She told me it was illegal to copy, and she would not even tell me if they had any of the proper paper I could buy to make my own copys. I guess I wont be spending anymore of my money there in the future.

That's the way I read it-- you can copy to your heart's content, but it *THEY* have to do it for you, it's 20 bucks.

The $20 is an administrative "dumb bass" fee.
They have to dig your file and reprint and resend which takes time and expense.
(although, we are already paying them for their time and expense, hummmm)

"What?, you already need another copy of your LTCH?!?.... here you go dumb bass... that will be $20.00"

Wait. You guys didn't know most FedEx places have a "anti Gun" policy. Or so I was told. My buddy ordered, im almost positive it was a hand grip for his AR. Nothing mechanical. Nothing dangerous. A. hand. grip.
Goes to mail it back at fed ex, because he ordered tan, they sent him OD green, (He Received if fed ex that same day), when he goes in they ask to see whats inside the box. He shows the lady, She asks what it is, A hand grip for my rifle.... Lady flips her top.
"You have to take that out of here right now, Nothing Gun Related is allowed to be shipped, You have to go to a gun dealer to ship that"
He literately shows her the fed ex box, with his address, and explains its perfectly legal to ship...she still makes him leave. SOOOO he goes to UPS down the street, they had No problem shipping it.

    -2 fed ex fail.

Man I find this really hard to believe about FedEx. I just has a firearm returned for warranty work to Smith & Wesson and was emailed a pre-paid address label for FedEx. There were instructions and one of them was to inform the FedEx driver that I was shipping a firearm. When the driver arrived I informed him that I was instructed to inform you that I'm shipping a firearm. He kinda hesitated for a moment and says "it's not loaded is it?"...I thought about a smart a$% response for a second but didn't.

I guess I should have left an update earlier. I've called twice and asked the lady for an update on policy. She still hasn't heard back from anyone yet.

Tomorrow is the day I call for the third time.

UPS Store all the way. The lady at the counter, when laminating it, even struck up a conversation on it. Fedex didn't want a $20 fee from me, they informed me they could, under FEDERAL law, make it 8x11 sized for copies. I told the guy to enjoy his ramen and rusted out Ford Escort in the parking lot, because that was the high point of his life... I can understand if there is a corporate policy of harassing us for making copies of our documents, but not made up BS.

I went to a local print shop here in New Haven and when I pulled out my pink paper I got a similar reaction that many here have posted. You would have thought I pulled my gun on her. I actually had to keep from laughing at this point. Anyway, after trying to explain to her that if they do not want my business I will just go down the road and give it to someone else, she said she had to go ask her manager. Well, he must have told her to go ahead, because she proceeded to copy it with matched paper, and even laminated them for me.

I guess they really did want my business after all! ;)

When I recently had to ship a firearm, I checked the website. The above is from FedEx's own site. This lady needs to learn her pwn company's policies. Not to mention that a grip does not constitute a firearm!

FWIW, our fancy color copier here at the office has an option called "background masking". Turned that on and it eliminates the pink to gray background.
